Friends of Izzy,
Just in case you're not in the loop, Isabelle was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (a type of breast cancer). Fortunately the cancer was caught very early, and did not pass stage 0.
It was also discovered that she has a growth on one of her ovaries, which will surgically be removed on March 6th.
But to top it all off, Izzy tested positive for the BRCA 2 gene. Both her paternal grandfather, grandmother, and her aunt had breast cancer. It is very aggressive on that side of her family. Due to this, Izzy has made the courageous decision to undergo a double mastectomy in late March to drastically decrease any future cancer risk.
Obviously, times are a little stressful, and one of the biggest points of stress for Izzy right now are the looming medical bills. At only 28, incurring this kind of debt is a hardship.
