Helping my mom with her company
This is solely for my momma!

A hard working, strong, independent woman who practically raised me on her own. She has been given the opportunity to start her own company out of the cafe at LA Center Studios in Downtown Los Angeles. However, funding has been a huge obstacle for her. Due to the current pandemic we are all trying to venture through, my mom has had a really hard time acquiring a loan. But still - like everything else in her life - she continues to tell me, “don’tworry, mommy will figure it out.”
I don’t ask for much and neither does my mom - unless she is asking for me. But now, it’s time I ask for her! I am who I am today because of her. She has manifested her journey through hard work and dedication. No college degree. No one holding her hand. She did this on her own. She moved to LA at 21 in search of more opportunity. Had me a few years later and did everything she possibly could to raise me!
As a little girl I watched my mom work upto 7 jobs at once just to provide for us and put food on the table. From a waitress to a masseuse to a general manager to Kenny Chesney and George Straight’s Hospitality Director (the list goes on)... my mom has done it all. I could go on about our story.. about her story... but to be approached with the opportunity to start her own company(and no college degree under her belt) says enough! Her work ethic is unheard of these days.
Not to mention - through her hundreds of jobs and hard work - she always made time for me, her family and her friends. Anyone that knows my momma, knows theycan pick up the phone at any time of any day and she will be there.
With all of that being said, I am creating this page in search of help and/or support for my mom! She needs a good chunk of money but even something like 10k will help her get started. Whether it’s $1, $5, $25 or a visit to her cafe for lunch when she opens in February.... it would really, really mean a lot to me. And I know it would mean the world to her.
She does not know I am creating this GoFundMe for her and when she finds out, I would love for her to be able to see something that will help her over the next few weeks.
