Helping mum after losing her partner

Hi everyone. My name is Jeff and I’m hoping to raise some money to help out my mum, Laura. It’s been a trying 18 months for her since her partner of 20 years, Shane, passed away last year. He was enjoying a game of cricket in December 2018 when he was struck in the head by the ball. He immediately collapsed and was taken to hospital. Over the next 3 months his condition was up and down, however he never recovered and his life support was turned off in March 2019. During the time that he was in hospital, mum was unable to work due to the stress and uncertainty of the situation. As she is a self-employed courier, her income dried up. Adding to the difficulty was losing Shane’s income. There was also no savings or life insurance to assist either. While she has just managed to hang on through this time (with aid from family and friends on occasion), eventually managing to catch up on the 3 months lost income, the situation has now gotten worse. She now needs to move as the current landlord has sold the house. Costs that she does not have available. I'm hoping to raise $2,500 toward costs for moving. This includes a rental bond on a new house plus costs to hire someone to assist with the move as she is unable to do this herself.
