Helping Midisha to fight cancer

"Forget what you can get and see what you can give. Help today because tomorrow you may be the one who needs helping!"

I would like to make an open appeal to everyone to show your support towards my brother Min Prasad Sharma, emotionally and if possible financially.

Even a single word of kindness from you can become a strong support system for him.

For helping my niece Midisha fight cancer and Min Prasad Sharma you can call him at +9779847130393 or text him on Facebook messenger.

Min Prasad Sharma's daughter (Midisha Sharma, 8 months old ) was admitted in local hospital in Butwal, Nepal because a child specialist had told him that she had lack of blood in her body. The daughter looked healthy except for the fact that she looked a bit pale.

Late in the evening the doctor gave them an emergency warning to take her to a bigger hospital in Kathmandu. There was that ominous look in the eyes of the doctor when he referred them further. Little did we know then that within the next few days she would be diagnosed with cancer.

They could not get a flight to Kathmandu and decided to keep her at AMDA for the night because they did not want to risk the road trip. The medical officer was unsure if it would be wise to admit her. Midisha was smiling but there was something really serious going inside her, something which the doctors were aware about but did not explain to them in plain terms.

Finally after consulting with a senior doctor the medical officer denied admitting her as he explained very awkwardly "They cannot do anything more than you can, take her home, hope for the best and take her to Kathmandu asap." We tried to convince him otherwise, but we could not.

They went home hoping that she would survive the night. Luckily she did and in the morning they went to Kathmandu and took her to Kanti hospital where they suspected Leukemia. Doctor's conducted a couple of tests both at Teaching Hospital and Kanti but where unfortunately unsuccessful in determining if it was Leukemia or not. Midisha was referred to Delhi on the 16th of Mangsir.

Both Rajiv Ghandi and Sir Gangaram hospitals in Delhi diagnosed it as Leukemia (cancer) and she is now going through chemotherapy.

It is heartbreaking to see the little angel go through so much pain and trouble. At the same time it has been a tough time for the family, both emotionally as well as financially.
