Helping Matthew Ekstrom Battle Cancer

Matthew Ekstrom began his battle
with head and neck cancer this past
December. This is an unusual cancer as it is
not localized and the specific site is unable to be discovered and removed. This is his second battle with cancer. His first was on 12/23/20, he was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma
(cancer of the left kidney), which was removed shortly thereafter, he now has one functional kidney. Matthew is facing financial hardship
due to lost work and travel expenses. He is
receiving surgical procedures from Roswell
Hospital in Buffalo and will eventually begin
several months of debilitating CCRT
(Concurrent Chemo & Radiation Therapy)
through Roswell.

Matthew was born and raised in
Frewsburg, NY with two children to provide
for. He has no sick days or PTO
through his employment to help with
expenses.

Matthew has always been the first person to
step up and volunteer his time to raise funds
for friends and strangers with his business, 
Afterdark DJ Service.

Please help him as he has helped so many
others so that he may focus on healing rather
