Helping Marvin Heisel

Let me start by telling you a little about Marvin. Marvin is a very hard working man with many passions for welding, building engines for old trucks and cars. And riding his motorcycle. Marvin has 3 kids and lives with is his girlfriend. Marvin was the sole provider for the household. Marvin was seemingly healthy and never went to the Dr until a little bit before Christmas. Marvins stomach started acting up and led him to go to the Drs. It started out with what Drs. Were saying was a stomach bug so they gave him some medicine to help with the discomfort in his stomach. Labs showed elevations in many aspects. Marvin was seen in our local hospital on 1/9/18 for a swollen stomach and horrible pain. Come to find out he had a complete bowel obstruction. They ran some tests and did a CT scan. The results of the scan didn't show good news. It showed that Marvins liver is covered in tumors, rectum showed a very lagre tumor, and it showed 3 tumors in his lungs. Our local hospital at this point decided that he needed care from a much larger facility and transferred him to Loveland. The Loveland hospital wanted to do a colonoscopy to see how bad damage was. This was unsuccessful due to the obstruction and large tumor. They were able to get a biopsy of the tumor and it is indeed malignant. At this point they needed to insert a tube into his nose to drain the contents of his stomach. The team of Drs in Loveland said he had to have surgery to fix his colon and in doing this he will have to have a colostomy bag. The Drs. then said they can't remove the tumor because it would kill him and said that chemo for his cancer would buy him a little time. So on 1/10/18 Marvin went under surgery to fix his colon and to place a port so he will be ready to battle his cancer. Marvin went from never going to the doctor to being newly diagnosed with cancer a bowel obstruction and having to undergo surgery. Him and his girlfriend both hate asking anyone for help, however medical expenses are going to add up and the fact that Marvin can't work is going to affect their common household bills. Marvins girlfriend is going to be caring for him full time and taking him back and forth to chemo treatments and follow up care. The expenses are going to add up quickly back and forth to Loveland, and then medical bills are going to pile on quickly. We thank you in advance from the bottom of our hearts.
