If you know Larry and Donna Heald, you know that they support their friends and family selflessly and would give the shirts off their backs without a second thought if they thought you needed it.
Over the past year+, Donna has been battling cancer and has faced numerous setbacks and challenges. Larry has been right by her side every day with love, support, and care. It has been a very tough road and the fight continues to find the best treatment to get Donna back on her feet and home with Larry and their sweet dogs, Lanie and Braxton.
The treatments, hospital stays, and time in rehab facilities have continued to be far beyond what the initial timelines had hoped for and they will continue for the near future to find the best treatments to get Donna back on her feet and ready to take on the world again!
With any long-term illness, the medical bills can be seemingly endless, but Donna and Larry have had the added challenge of having health insurance through Donna's employer come to an end and the additionally expenses of either paying large payments for Cobra coverage or moving onto insurance coverage through Larry's employer which would come with new deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums that would have to be met.
Donna and Larry have met the challenges with a brave face and Larry shares updates to keep friends and family in the loop. He shares his hopes, stress, and concerns regarding the medical side of Donna's treatments, but doesn't cover the other stresses that he feels.
They know they have the love and support of their friends, family, and coworkers, but the goal of this fundraiser would be to offer them some additional support to relieve some of the financial stress that comes with this battle.
