Helping Jashar Recover

Donation protected
On the morning of Monday May 22, 2017, as Jashar and a couple of friends were riding their motorcycles down route 1&9, on their way home in Elizabeth, NJ, a man jumped the divider (between north and south bound) into Jashar's path. Jashar swerved to avoid hitting the guy head on and that caused him to be sent into and over the divider and onto the other side of the highway. Because of the accident, Jashar received a long list of injuries including some brain bruising, a broken rib, along with the right cheek bone and upper jaw being fractured (which requires re-construction surgery), four fractures in his cervical spine (neck), and several fractures in his thoracic spine (center back) from T-3 to T-10 with T-7 being completely broken. He has already gone into overnight surgery for the broken spine fractures which needed to be replaced with a cage but the worst injury of all is that the spinal cord itself was damaged, leaving him with less then a 1% chance to walk again. Now we are hoping and praying that he has a successful recovery and beats the odds.
Jashar was a volunteer EMT in two different towns, a volunteer fire fighter, a swim instructor and always looking for a way to help people whether it was helping family or helping feed the homeless. Unfortunately, now Jashar is the one in need of help. Although he has the emotional support of his family and friends, one can only imagine the financial help he will need for rehabilitation. The road ahead will be long and difficult, but thankfully we can come together as a family, as a community to help our brother, son, and friend in need.
Please keep Jashar and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Please pass on his story. If you can help in anyway, we would greatly appreciate it. No monetary donation is too small and every little bit will help. Thank you all for taking the time to read Jashars story and God bless
