Helping Hands For The Freelands

Donation protected

The Freeland family needs your help! They are not looking for a handout but a hand up to bridge the long financial gap between lost income and the 111 day waiting period for long term benefits. Even the smallest donation will help!

Gord Freeland has been diagnosed with a seperated spine and herniated disc pressing on nerves. Gord is in extream pain unable to walk, sit or stand. He is awaiting surgery and will be off work for months if ever returning. His fait is no longer in his hands.

Gords family has learned that there is no insurance on his truck loan, no short term disability at work (long term can be applied for after being off work for 111 days). Bills are due and he may loose everything without your help.

Gord and his family have always lived paycheck to paycheck (as many if us do) and although that may have not been the best decision it means that missing even one payday (days away from missing two paychecks in a row and many many more to come) the wolf is knocking at the door and everything is due. Gord and his family are at risk of loosing thier vehicle, their home and unable to put food on the table. He needs your help!

This very proud and hard working man is at risk of loosing everything he has worked so hard for. Gords pride prevents him for asking for your help but needs you now.

Gord is currently in the hospital to manage his extreme pain (morphine injections and multiple other pain and ither meditations) Gord will be in the hospital until after surgery at this time they are unsure when that will be. Once he has surgery he will  have a long recovery with an uncertain fait.

Gord has been struggling with back pain for a year now seeing doctors every time he was on days off being sent away told he just has sciatic pain and only with the insistence of his wife an MRI was set up for 7 months away. The pain finally became unbearable and Gords wife took him to a different town to be helped.

Thankfully the new doctor immediately saw this was not just sciatic pain and had a CT scan right away. The results confirmed this was much worse then drs originally diagnosed. Gord would need back surgery. Gords MRI became an emergency and he was in in 2 days. Again more confimation Gord must have surgery right away. So he waits; in the hospital because his pain is unmanageable at home. At this time Gords future is unknown.
-How long before surgery?
-Will the surgery work?
-If the surgery is a success how long will his recovery be?
-Will he fully recover?
-Will he be able to walk or Will he be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life?
-Will he be able to return to the job he loves?
-Will he be able to get back to a quality of life where he can be pain free?
-Will he be able to support himself and his family?
-Will Gord get back to Gord?

Gords wife is by his side and doing her best to keep his spirits up. The Freeland family is a one income family. Gords wife will be looking for work to help with the strain but as Gord will is unable to walk, sit or stand she is helping with his care and once surgery is complete and they return home he will need her by his side for his day to day care or they will need to hire a full time nurse.

Gord is a very proud man and has always been there to help his family and friends when they need it. Now Gord needs your help! Any donation will help cover expenses during this time. Life is changing forever for the Freeland family please help them as they find thier way. No amount is to small it all adds up. Thank you for your financial and emotional support at this time I know the Freeland family appreciates you!
