Hello Friends and Family,
We are rallying together to help support our brother, Brian. Some of you have been on this journey with us from the beginning and some of you maybe finding out his story today for the first time. Brian is a happy go lucky kind of individual and has kept this part of his life quite… “who wants to be a bummer…right?” but now we need your love, support and prayers more than ever!
In January 2017 Brian suffered a heart attack and had a triple bypass surgery he powered thru like a champ and was on the road to recovery, making strides at cardiac rehab… enjoying his second chance at life…planning and lining up his next set of jobs he was going to do when he started feeling more pain under his heart and ribs. In April, his doctor sent him for further tests, thinking…. it was just residual open-heart surgery pain that is sometimes present for a while after a big surgery. Unfortunately, this was not the case.
A large tumor was found in his liver and a smaller tumor with lymph node involvement in his lungs which is cancerous. It was a devastating blow to him, his daughter Darcy and his family. But once again… Brian being upbeat and positive that he will be successful at life …he marched onward!
His first round of chemotherapy and radiation gave us great hope! He reached remission/ everything was shrinking and his lung tumor had disappeared. He was off to recoup, recover and start making plans again and would follow up in 3 months. To our dismay, the tumor in his liver had grown at rapid rate and had to restart a round of chemo…. which started the day after Christmas.
Now as of today, he is on a third type of therapy and is looking at some clinical trials. At this point Brian is unable to return to work and has drained all his savings and could use a little help financially.
