Sweet Angel Liana

Hello. My name is Bella and I am 7 years old. This is my best friend Liana. Liana and I have been friends for over 3 years. Liana was my very first friend. Liana was full of joy to be around. Whoever knows me knows that I am very shy, reserved and don't socialize well. Me and Liana instantly became undetachable from one another. We were inseparable. If we were not together we were always on FaceTime (literally 24/7)! Even our Mom's became close and great friends. Liana was the middle child, she has 2 siblings: Asatur 9 and Lilya 3. She was an amazing sister, an incredible daughter and granddaughter. Liana was the shining light to the family. Liana was so much help around the house for her parents.

Liana was so much fun to be around, she brought out the best of me. If I wasn't spending time with my family we were always together. We had the best times together. Her laughter, her strength, her positive energy will truly be missed. I don't know who else will be able to give me that daily friendly boost. I can't believe that was the last day I saw you. If I knew for one second that I would never see you again I would hold you so tight like we always did for our pictures and just let you know that you are amazing and will always have a special place in my heart.

Today, Sunday December 5, 2021 at 12:41 p.m. my best friend gained her angel wings and went to heaven. I am devastated, heart broken, at a loss for words and shocked. On Thursday December 2nd my life changed when I saw Liana being carried out of Balboa in her mothers arms to be rushed to the hospital for care. When arrived at Saint Joseph's Liana had experienced bleeding in her brain, which is called subarachnoid hemorrhage. This was possibly due to a weak blood vessel in the brain circulation. Sometimes brain bleeds can lead to problems with other organs, including your heart. She then had abnormal rhythm in her heart that resulted in cardiac arrest that lasted more then 45 minutes. This led to her not having enough blood flow and not enough oxygen delivered to her brain, this is called anoxic brain injury. With this type of brain injury we see significant swelling and damage that is permanent. Liana had brain aneurysm which comes with no prior symptoms or warning and completely as a surprise. Liana was transported to Children's Hospital Los Angeles. With numerous testings and around the clock consultations with doctor's we were told that Liana was showing zero activity to any of the tests. Unfortunately, Liana's parents had to make the heart breaking decision to pull her off life support and donate her heart and other organs.

Natasha (Liana's Mom) has been, is and will always be like a second Mother to me. As a token of my appreciation and what I can try to give back to my best friend and her family is financial comfort and support through this devastating time. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Please share with your family and friends and help me reach my goal. I truly appreciate each and everyone of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Liana I love you and I will forever remember you, I miss you already!
