Helping Cotter Smith's Family Heal
Donation protected
Update: Ms. Carney is grateful to everyone in the community for their amazing outpour of love and support. She does not want any family to ever feel the loss that her family currently feels; she wants to use donations to further cardiovascular research, specifically research which focuses on the prevention and treatment of aortic dissection.
Original Post: On March 14th, Cotter Smith passed away unexpectedly from an aortic aneurysm. He was a junior at Summerville High School, an Eagle Scout, and a member of the Summerville Presbyterian Church. He touched the lives of many in our community, and his positive mark can be seen near and far. He leaves behind devastated family and friends who will miss his contagious smile and his kind heart.
His classmates from his AP Language Class have started this fundraiser in his honor to assist those he left behind: his mother, a nurse at Sand Hill Elementary, and his two sisters and grandmother. Please help us reach and surpass our goal of $10,000 to help his family during this difficult time.
