Helping Charli Gerrey Fight Leukemia
Friends and Family of the Gerrey Family have been shocked and devastated by the gut-wrenching news that hit their family this week - their eldest daughter Charli being diagnosed with Leukaemia at just 9 years old.
Charli Gerrey, with her beautiful parents Faye and Will, and little sister Chloe have had their lives flipped upside down in an instant and they now face a long and daunting road ahead.
We hope to make that road a little easier for them.
Fortunately, there is a whole village of people who know and love this family, or who will be touched by their story and who want to help.
Funds raised here will go directly to the Gerrey Family to help ease the burden of medical expenses as well as day to day living/travel expenses as they coordinate a new life of travelling back and forth to Sydney for treatments.
As you might not be aware, Covid-19 has impacted amazing resources such as Ronald McDonald House and limited their capacity to house families close to the hospital. We hope that the money raised here will help to cover accommodation costs and allow Faye and Will to stay close to Charli when they have to be in Sydney for long stretches of time.
Many of you would know Faye (Hollands) Gerrey for her amazing leadership in the online business community or her bright beaming smile at school pick up. She radiates love, positivity and generosity with everyone she meets.
Will Gerrey is one of those people who instantly feels like a best mate the first time you meet him.
Charli has the best parents in her corner (as well as her gorgeous little sister Chloe) who have instilled in her the positivity and resilience she'll need to get through this, and they are the perfect people to support her every step of the way.
So if the rest of us can do what we can to support THEM, we hope that money won't have to be another added stress in their life right now.

My name is Melinda Kitto from Woonona, NSW, and Faye (Hollands) Gerrey and I originally met through business a few years ago. Now that our children go to the same school, we've become much closer friends, and can often be found deep in conversation at school pick up, willing the bell to ring a bit later so that our conversation doesn't get cut off.
Faye has been nominated as the beneficiary of this fundraiser, so she will be able to withdraw funds directly.
