Helping Caleb and the Thomas Family

Caleb Thomas has made a tremendous impact on the lives of others with his joyful, outgoing personality and positive attitude. He’s a caring son, a loving brother, and a wonderful friend to many.

 

Unfortunately on October 15th, Caleb was involved in an accident in which he sustained a Traumatic Brain and incomplete Spinal Cord Injury. The exact extent of his injury is still uncertain; however, currently, at this time he is unable to feel or move anything below his upper chest and he is unable to breathe without the help of a ventilator.

 

So many of you, who care about Caleb, and the entire Thomas family have asked what or how they can help at this time. We are extremely overwhelmed by the wonderful outpouring of texts, calls, visits, and prayer. A very practical and necessary area of need is obviously finances.

 

Close friends of Caleb and the Thomas family are starting this GoFundMe page in order to raise money to help pay for Caleb's extensive medical bills and rehabilitation as we work toward his recovery.

 

At this time, the full scope of his long-term needs are unknown but we will continue to update as we know more. There will be a portion of his current and future inpatient costs that will not be covered by insurance. He will likely require certain adaptive equipment such as a power wheelchair, lift devices, and a transport vehicle for medical care/therapy. The Thomas home will also likely need some remodeling to accommodate his needs as well.
