I’m setting up this Go Fund Me to help my sister get back on her feet. A week ago she was in a bad car accident that totaled her car. Her small Nissan was hit by an F350 hauling a trailer and all of her airbags deployed. She badly broke her left arm- her wrist was dislocated and shattered and she has severed ligaments. She also suffered from contusions of both hips from the seatbelt and contusions and sprains in both feet. She is lucky to be alive! Her car battery was broken in half.

She’s had one surgery to install pins and a fixator rod in her arm, but requires at least one more surgery plus physical therapy. The fixator is in place to strengthen her muscles enough for the final surgery where she will need a plate and screws. Right now, she is mobile with the help of a crutch and is working toward full mobility. She has a long road ahead of her to recovery. 

She recently began a new job and has no vacation time, short term disability, or medical insurance to cover the cost of her care. While the hospital is willing to write off some of her bills from her 5-day stay, ambulance fees, and surgery, she is still left with a heavy burden. She also has no transportation to her job and no funds to finance the purchase of a new one. Her employer is currently holding her position for her, but she has no way to get there except gracious friends who can take her. 

I’m reaching out to friends and family in the hopes of helping her get back on her feet. She has no income coming in right now while recovering and the bills are piling up. Any donation is welcome!
