Helping Auntie Anna with Cancer Expenses

Donation protected
Auntie Anna is an amazing and hard working person. While managing a PPG store full-time she was also disciplined enough to earn her Masters Degree. She is a loving and caring person, she always puts family first. When her nephew was about to join the military, she gave him a place to stay. I can't forget to mention how good she is at giving her family and friends the BEST nicknames! Really, the only bad thing about her is that she is a Yankees fan (I know what you're thinking, but we still love her!).

As we all know, 2020 sucks! This year was extra hard for the Borja family. We lost the strongest woman in our tribe, our beautiful grandma Borja. Auntie Anna lost her mom, being the baby of the family she took it very hard. Her and Auntie Jay (her sister) worked very hard on funeral and burial arrangements while working full time, going to school, and taking care of Papa Borja. She laid her mom to rest at the end of May. Grandma's kids take Papa to see the love of his life every Sunday. They take turns to make sure they all get a chance to spend time with Grandma and Papa together.

Auntie Anna has always stayed strong and there for us when we needed her. Even if we didn't, she always let us know where we could turn. It's our time to be there for her. This November she was diagnosed with cancer.
Auntie Anna went to the doctor in October for a routine mammogram that lead to an ultrasound and on November 4, 2020 she had a biopsy. On November 12, 2020 she has diagnosed with Invasive Lobular Carcinoma and Invasive Mammary Carcinoma. At that time it was stage 2, but the cancer is fast moving. She had an MRI and it shows the lymph nodes on her right underarm are very abnormal. On December 21, 2020 she will have a large portion of the lymph node removed and a double mastectomy. She will also have to do chemotherapy and radiation. Her doctor also did a genetics test that checks for 25 different types of mutations. Depending on the results she might need a second surgery with a gynecological oncologist to remove ovaries and tubes to prevent ovarian cancer. She might need to travel outside her local area for care.

During this time she will need to take short term leave from work. Unforeseen expenses have started to pile and she will not need that extra stress while going through chemo, radiation and recovering from surgery.
Anything you can give will help more than you know! Thank you for your donation and God bless you and your family!
