Howard's life saving treatment

Donation protected
Howard, known as Shep, is fifty-eight years old and full of life - he's always on the go and doesn't know how to sit down! An absolute legend to be around with his wicked sense of humour! What you see is what you get with Howard, he has spent all of his life reaching out and helping his friends, family and customers working hard everyday since he was sixteen!

As many of you are aware of Howard's situation, you have asked how you can help. Here's how! Please like, share, and donate to go towards the costs to get him to America for potentially life saving treatment. As many of you are aware, Howard is a very proud man and would never ask for help. However, after persuasion from his friends and family, he has agreed to let us help.

For those who don't know, here's Howard's story...

Never one to moan or go to the doctors,  after experiencing a strange taste in his mouth, he booked an appointment to see his GP on the 20th November 2019. His GP arranged blood tests and within 24 hours, his life changed completely. From being fit and healthy, he began to turn yellow (jaundice) and was admitted to hospital for further investigations.

Just days before Christmas, we received the shocking news that he had a tumour on the head of his pancreas which also involved an artery and a lymph node, he was diagnosed with non-operable stage 3 pancreatic cancer. With the hospital only offering palliative care, they directed him to a clinical trial at a different hospital.

It was a dreadful Christmas, whilst Howard and his family longed for the Christmas period to be over in order for him to begin his treatment through the clinical trial. Howard underwent four months of aggressive weekly chemotherapy, in between this he had a stay in hospital after contracting sepsis which he overcame and went straight back to chemotherapy the following week.

Then Covid-19 hit, his chemotherapy was initially cancelled, but thankfully they resumed but he had to face the appointments alone. It was a scary, unknown time with the ongoing crisis and having no immune system, it was at this time they discovered Howard had a blood clot in the lung. After his rounds of chemotherapy, he endured another six weeks of travelling everyday for his radiotherapy treatment, alongside chemotherapy tablets.

Howard has now completed his clinical trial, but now he needs treatment that is not available on the NHS or in the U.K. He has spent months in contact with a surgeon in the United States, who has accepted Howard for pioneering open NanoKnife ® surgery. NanoKnife ® is an ablation procedure which provides a minimally invasive option for patients with inoperable or difficult-to-reach tumours, including those situated near critical structures and major blood vessels.

Please like, share and donate what you are able, to help Howard raise the funds for this life saving treatment in America.
