Help us make our home safe for Dave

Hi there, my name is Natalie Dixon and I am fundraising for our family. My dad Dave Dixon, suffered a major Isachemic stroke on his 64th birthday whilst at work. He works on the railway and has worked there since he was 16. Sadly he has been left with major physical mobility issues forcing him into early retirement. He is paralysed on his right side and he is likely to need extensive rehabilitation whilst living back at home. At the moment, our precious family home is not wheelchair accessible with the only other option to put him into a care home ( aged only 64) we felt this was not an option. He is currently unable to speak and the hospital want him out however at the moment it just isn’t safe for him to be home. 

I am asking for as much help as we can possibly get so we can make our home safe for dad by adding an extension for a bedroom with a wet room downstairs, putting in ramps and widening various doorways. He is sadly unable to use a stair lift.

We also need to look into various rehabilitation programs for dad which can be done whilst he is home.

I have set the goal for £5,000.00 as every penny helps but obviously the extension alone will cost more than this.

My dad is a very charitable man, who has donated to various charities throughout his life and I really hope we can get him home safely very soon!
