Help For The Flake Family

Dalton, Charmine, and Lochland Flake received news of a welcomed surprise in the Fall of 2016! The family of 3 were were expecting a new baby May, 23 2017, and the two music educators began their school year preparing to become a family of four! After having had their two year old son, Lochland, naturally in a birthing center, they couldn’t have been more excited to bring Lochland’s baby brother into the world in the same way.

On Friday, February, 10 just 25 weeks into the pregnancy Charmaine began experiencing contractions, and after a full day of Doctors trying everything they could to slow/stop the labor, baby Josiah Flake was born on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 6:27am. A full 100 days early, he weighed just 1.79lbs and was 13in long. This little boy is a fighter, and will be fighting his way through his first 100 days of life in the NICU.

This is where your help comes in. The hospital bills will be ASTRONOMICAL, we all know that, but what we would like to help this sweet family out with is their cost of living for the coming months, and maybe make a small dent in the medical bills. The family needs to be able to focus on themselves and helping Josiah fight, not worrying about bills.
Dalton and Charmaine are both music educators, balancing teaching lessons, performing, and accompanying all while raising their two year old, Lochland. In order to tend to their new little one in the best way she can, Charmaine now cannot work at all for the forseeable future. This removes half of their monthly income instantly. They are also making multiple daily trips to the hospital to visit little Josiah. That’s a 40 mile round trip, and gas adds up! In order to be closer to the hospital, the family is also looking at costly multiple night hotel stays if getting into a Ronald McDonald house, or the like, is not possible.
