Help with Linda's Expenses

UPDATE (12/12/2018):

Thank you to everyone who helped ease the financial burden which Linda went through with Ken's passing. I am asking you all to consider helping her some more in this Christmas season of giving, let's continue to show her our support and help her find some time to relax and get her own medical expenses taken care of.

I am writing this for so many people who have been incredibly touched by the mentoring, friendship, and teaching of Linda Baley.  She was my music mentor and teachergrowing up, and she had an immense impact on me and helped guide me through the hardest times of my life through middle school, high school, and beyond. We all know Linda as an extremely modest and humble woman, someone who doesn't ask for much. Let's take this time to give back to someone who has given SO much to all of us over the years!

I want to tell you a little more about Linda's situation: 

Linda's husband Ken has been fighting an incredibly brave battle against cancer for many years, and throughout this Linda has had multiple serious illnessess, surgeries, and her own cancer diasgnosis along with ongoing medical treatments and painful unresolved conditions. Linda was left unable to physcially work for most of the last few years due to her cancer and illness.

As a small and independent business owner it has been extremely difficult for Linda to keep up with her own illnesses and mounting medical bills - these problems are only magnified by the many ins and outs of our insurance system. 

Ken is now under hospice care at their home, which means he requires 24/7 care and supervision. This means Linda cannot work for most of the day in order to properly tend to him.

Once Ken passes away, that means Linda will no longer recieve medicare - leaving a huge gap in available funds for her - not to metion the  additional costs of cremation and burial which she will be faced with. 

Linda doesn't know for certain how much time she has left with Ken, so let's all chip in whatever we can to help with this emotionally delicate time of transition for her. I know that any and all donations will help to ease her mind of her worries to follow Ken's passing. 

All money will go directly to Linda to help alleviate the stresses of covering the costs of both of her and Ken's ongoing medical bills and treatments, funeral/burial costs, as well helping with buying eveyday essentials.
