Kerala Flood Relief

Donation protected
Over the past week, Kerala (a state in India) has been experiencing unrelenting rainfall from the monsoon season. This is the worst flooding since 1924 causing the loss of over 300 lives and hundreds of thousands have been displaced from their homes.

The CM (governor) and other organizations have begun accepting donations of money, supplies, and also boats to help in the rescue relief.

There is an online portal to donate directly to the CM's fund https://donation.cmdrf.kerala.gov.in

The only problem is that it is very difficult to donate unless you have an Indian bank account or are in India. I've sent 10,000 rs directly to people I know in the affected areas to donate on my behalf, but I wanted to make something more accessible so that anyone could donate if they wanted.

All funds raised from this page will be submitted to the CM's relief fund with the help of a friend of mine with an Indian bank account.

For those who know me personally, Idukki (one of the worst hit places) is where I was living last February and Kollam (where I was a teacher) has now begun to get the heavy rains though not as severely.
