Julie's Medical Fund

Julie is a hairdresser and mother of two hard-working college students. Her husband and father of her children passed away in 2001 from pulmonary fibrosis. She works as much as she can to provide for her family and loved ones. Being one of the most generous people I know, Julie gives people all that she can and then some. Recently, she discovered an enlarged lump on her neck. After having scans done, the lump was shown to be harmless; however, a mass was found in her left kidney. The first doctor she went to described it as suspicious of cancer and said she would need to have her whole kidney removed due to the location of the mass. Julie decided she would feel better being reassured by having a second opinion from an experienced surgeon familiar with nephrectomies. The second doctor confidently assured her that he can remove the mass fully while allowing her to safely keep a part of her kidney. He will be using robotics to remove the mass. She plans to have this surgery around Christmas, and the date will be updated on here when it is scheduled. She will need to take off work for a month at minimum to recover. During this time, any prayers or donations are greatly appreciated to help lessen this financial burden of medical bills and daily expenses during the holiday season while not receiving a paycheck.
