Help Maria Dizon's family in Saipan

My family and friends,
My name is Maria Dizon and I am Saipan student at Portland State University. Saipan, a U.S. territory near Guam, has been struck by Condition 5 Super Typhoon Yutu --- the worst United States storm since 1935. To put it in perspective, this Super Typhoon was stronger than Hurricane Irma, Katrina, Harvey, Sandy, and more.
I have lost my home, with all its tin roof flying off and my family's belongings destroyed due to water damage. You can see in the photo that the tin house that was once whole is now stripped away into the jungle and other debris. I thank God that despite losing it all, my family is uninjured.
I hate to ask for help as many face the same fate as my family. I have only spoken to my mom once, just to confirm that she is ok. I cannot help but feel so helpless being out here, so far away, unable to help and comfort them as they go through this. I wish this was just a nightmare we all could wake up from.
Please help me raise funds to assist my family (my mom and aunt) back home as they get through the anticipated long months of no electricity and water, to get them what they need to survive in this horrible time and to rebuild again. The funds raised will go to their immediate needs: (food, water, hygiene products, disaster relief items, etc), buying construction items (wood, tin, anything to patch up whatever is left to live in it for the time being), and transportation costs (gas for the only family car).
My withdrawal plan for the funds is to use it towards purchasing relief items to send from PDX to SPN for them. My partner, who is on island, is also serving as a point of communication and delivery of the relief items they need, which will also be purchased with the funds raised here. Lastly, I will also send this money in increments to my mother's bank account for her immediate use to withdraw at our local ATMs or use her card.
