Help Dennis

I met Dennis 4 years ago on my first trip to Kenya, Africa. He is an orphan at Springs of Hope Orphanage is Machakos, Kenya. Dennis has been disabled since birth with a form of cerebral palsy which prohibits him to walk, talk, or function on his own. I have grown to love Dennis over these past four years and in 2012 I was able to raise the money for him to have a custom wheelchair made for him since his other one had broken. Upon my visit in 2013 I discovered Dennis was admitted to the hospital a few weeks before my arrival for pneumonia. During his time in the hospital he was cured of pneumonia but he was neglected to the point that he returned very skinny, with three very bad bed sores on his hips and tailbone, and a wound in his head. I'm raising money for Dennis because he has yet again been admitted to the hospital, but this time with influenza. Springs of Hope Orphanage needs money to pay for his hospital bills and for any medications he will need. I would also like to raise money to send Dennis to a better hospital because the only hospital the orphanage can afford is the Machakos General Hospital which is the same hospital he returned from with nasty bed sores. I love Dennis and he has impacted my life so much that I would do anything to help him, but the financial aid he needs I cannot personally provide for him from my own pocket. For those who feel that cerebral palsy is terminal, consider this.
"Most children with cerebral palsy can live long, happy, quality lives. Admittedly, their care may involve more visits to health care practitioners, require therapy or medications, and perhaps surgery at some point. They may be evaluated for special education assistance and require assistive technology devices and services, but a child's physical impairment, in general, will not limit his or her life span. However, the severity level of the child's condition, as well as improper management of his or her symptoms, may put the child at risk for diminished life expectancy. Research indicates properly managing a child's health status may assist in optimizing life span."
