If you have met our mother, Debby Fraser, then you probably love her! She is the kindest, funniest, wittiest, sweetest, strongest person you’ll ever meet, with a smile and a positivity that lights up the room. She takes adventures and adversity head on, all while continuing to take care of every person around her. Her level of love and commitment to the people she cares about is unfounded.
On May 5th, Debby was diagnosed with Stage 4 Primary Peritoneal Cancer. Three days later on May 8th she underwent a grueling tumor debulking surgery and spent the following two weeks in the hospital. She is set to start an aggressive chemotherapy treatment in the next week.
Debby has been off work for a month and won’t be returning for the foreseeable future, and with that comes financial challenges. The short term financial needs are huge right now, but the biggest and most pressing issue is paying her insurance premiums while she is out of work. Losing her insurance at this point would be devastating.
We need our mom to be able to focus her strength and energy on beating cancer, not on finances or insurance. We know firsthand how quick she is to drop everything and come to our rescue, and we know so many of her family and friends have experienced her never ending kindness. We hope that we can come together to extend that kindness back to her by easing some of the burden while she focuses on healing.
We appreciate anything and everything, and ask that you continue to send prayers, positive energy, and good thoughts her way over the coming months!
