Helping Rural Coffee Farmers
Donation protected
Students from the University of Bridgeport are helping the rural coffee cooperative of ASOPROLA (Costa Rica) with an economic development project.
This project will improve the quality of life of the farmers and their families who currently earn approximately $2,000/per year.
Currently ASOPROLA is selling green coffee as a commodity, making pennies ($.22/lb), and we are assisting them to sell roasted packaged coffee online, in the hopes to make dollars ($4.48/lb), raising their annual income to $8,000/year.
With your help we can achieve the goal to raise the money needed to purchase a 12 kilo BENDIG Roaster, Heat Sealer, Grinder, and Foil Gusseted Bags.
