Help Bruce the Har-Ber & Hellstern Crossing Guard

We received permission from Bruce's wife to share the following update. Thank you Bryan and Mandy for reaching out to Micki and getting an update for us.
"Bruce is in the brain trauma center in Springfield, MO and it looks like there was a brain injury. He has a fracture in his shoulder, hip, and multiple in his leg. It's extremely upsetting for everyone."
We are raising the goal on our GoFundMe campaign.

On April 2nd, 2021 a car struck Bruce Fortin the Crossing Guard for Har-Ber Avenue and Hellstern Middle School.
If you have been around Springdale and have a child who attends Har-Ber High School or Hellstern Middle School, Bruce is a familiar face who, no matter what the weather is, is outside making sure that our children are safe when walking to school.
Bruce is a veteran who runs a small TV Repair Shop from his home. EVERY morning and afternoon he volunteers his time to be a crossing guard for all the kids walking/biking/boarding etc.. to Har-Ber High, Hellstern Middle, and Young Elementary.
We are still finding out details, but from everything that was seen at the accident, Bruce will have a long recovery ahead of him.
Let's make sure that he has help with his medical bills and any other needs during this time!
