Help Bert Become a Service Dog

Hello everyone,

My brother once said, “You don’t have to drown, there’s a boat full of people ready to throw out life preservers, and save you.” The message was simple: I didn’t have to go it alone. And while the imagery has always stuck with me and I think about the message often, I’m not accustomed to it, nor am I comfortable with it. Despite the loving and supportive family and friends I have, I struggle in asking for help or support. One of the most challenging things for me to do is admit I need help. Well, I need help. We originally adopted Bert (the true love of my life, my dog) for him to be an emotional support animal. He has provided excellent emotional support, but I need more than that – I need a service dog able to perform certain tasks at crucial times when I am unable to do them for myself. Bert has the potential to be a life-changing service dog, I just can’t get him there on my own. I found a place that will train him, but I can’t afford to send him. So I’m asking for your help to get him there. If you are able and willing to donate, I would be immensely grateful. I have started this GoFundMe page in hopes of raising $3,500.
