Help Armoni Celebrate Summer!!

Armoni is a sweet, energetic and fun-loving 9 year old with a huge personality! Her positive attitude is contagious and she befriends every single person she meets. Armoni has a life-threatening illness called short bowel syndrome (or short gut)- which is a malabsorbtion disorder caused by a lack of functional small intestine. Our relationship began on the medical surgical unit at Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital where she has had countless surgeries, and procedures. She has been so brave; never complaining and always smiling through the pain and difficult moments.  

She has spent endless hours making play-doh creations, having dance parties, celebrating holidays, completing second grade and navigating the often emotional rollercoaster that is being a kid in the hospital. She is a part of our hospital family and as an extention of her, so are her parents and brothers. 

She has spent almost every summer in the walls of our hospital and has often commented on how she wishes she could visit the beach or go to camp like other kids. She is soon to be discharged to home and will FINALLY have one month of summer to enjoy.  Our hope is that we can fill those weeks with a summer bucket list: a trip to the beach, the zoo, aquarium, park, and maybe even an old-fashioned road trip! 

Due to the burden of many medical bills, we wish to alleviate some of the  financial stress and allow Armoni and her family to have a fun summer filled with adventures and excursions without worrying about how they will  pay for it. PLEASE help by donating and spreading the word so that Armoni and her family can have a care-free summer making memories and enjoying their time together outside of the hospital!
