Hey all! I have the amazing opportunity to go study music in Italy this summer with other fellow clarinetist from Southern California. It will take place at the Cremona Music Academy for two-weeks where musicians get coached in chamber music, solo performance, and orchestra. I believe that music is a worthwhile pursuit and it would mean the world to be able to excel and share my passion for music. I have never been to Europe before so this is a big deal to me. I never thought I would have If you have the means, please help me by donating towards my trip to Italy this summer! Anything is helpful and appreciated!
Who am I:
My name is Amie Ma. I am currently studying at Cal State Long Beach studying Clarinet Performance and Music Education in Instrumental Music. I started taking clarinet lessons when I was 17 at Mt. San Antonio College. There is nothing I have more passion for than music. In July, I will have the amazing chance to be able to visit and perform at a worldwide clarinet convention in Cremona and Assisi, Italy. I will be able to interact with all the top clarinetist in the world. The clarinet convention organization hopes to get into The Guinness Book of World Records for the largest clarinet choir with 350 clarinet players in Assisi's historic center!! The trip includes a two-week course at the Cremona Academy and a weekend at the International Clarinet Association's ClarinetFest in Assisi, Italy. This trip would be wonderful experience for me and my fellow clarinetists. With that being said, this trip will cost $3,500 to cover fees, travel expenses, and living arrangements. I am asking of anyone who is willing to be able to donate and sponsor what they can to support my educational experience. This will greatly benefit my development as a musician and as a future educator of music. I can promise that I will wholeheartedly represent my community proudly and support anyone in the future who has a similar need.
