YWAM Denver Puerto Rico Relief Trip

My name is Sarah, I am a staff member at Youth With A Mission Denver (YWAM). My team and I are raising funds for a mission trip team down to Puerto Rico to help the victims of the recent hurricanes for five weeks, December 10th-January 13th.
Puerto Rico, a USA territory, was hit by both hurricane Maria and hurricane Irma, leaving the beautiful island with catastrophic damage. Many of the infrastructures, homes and livelihoods of the people of Puerto Rico have been lost. To date, there has been limited government aid in response to these natural disasters. While the airport is relatively undamaged, ports have been severely damaged making it incredibly difficult to bring in food, oil, and other resources into the country. One contact said the price of gasoline was over $65 a gallon.
My co-leader, Tim, and I have a strong desire to be a part of the relief going on in Puerto Rico. Our response to the great need that we see there is that we will be leading a team of 12 people from December 9th-January 13th to give of our time, energy, and resources to help in any way we can with the relief work. We will be working with YWAM Puerto Rico, a non-profit minstry already helping to bring restoration to their island.
The people of Puerto Rico have been shaken by Hurricane Irma and Maria. We want to help them by going down ourselves. Many of us have already put our own finances into this trip, however, we need your help to raise the remainder needed to be able to aid the people in as many ways as possible.
