Help Meng and his family - Cambodia

Help Meng's family and make his dream of becoming a doctor come true. 

Welcome in Takeo Province. Here a hot land, far from the cities. We are between Phnom Penh, the capital, and Kep (the sea).
I was helping in a school for poor and orphaned kids in 2015 and of course I kept in touch with the kids.

The school doesn’t exist anymore so all the kids are live across the country.

Some are already working at the age of 13 or 14 years, some are still going to school.

Meng is a 16yo boy. The smartest of the class. Always working hard in school and back home working in the rice field helping the family, neighbours and more. This picture shows one of the only moments he can actually relax, I love seeing him that way sometimes. He is a really good boy, really smart and readily takes care of his family, Minea 13yo sister, Srey Nang 6yo sister, Houen his mother and Yat his father.

His mom is ill and his dad is curing from an alcohol problem. Recently, an organization started to build the family home, but betrayed the family and disappeared with the money they had raised (unfortunately, this is a common thing in Cambodia). The family is too poor to send the kids to English classes or university.


Meng wants to be a doctor. Every day, when he takes his bike and rides a few miles to go to school he thinks about it. In his village, nobody can afford to go to university, it's way too expensive.

When Meng becomes a doctor one day, he wants to help his village and the kids to realize their dreams too. Helping him, is helping everybody in his village. Meng has a big heart and shares everything he has.


We can help Meng and his family with different things:

1st – We can help Meng's family (mom's medicines, food, English classes for the kids etc.)

2nd- Finish to build the family house
2500€

3rd- Send Meng to the University in Phnom Penh after high school (in 2 years). He wants to become a doctor.
Accommodation, food, university fees.
