Help zoe with her rehabilitation

Donation protected
Hey my name is zoe, I'm 29 and a single mum to a daughter called Bella who is 7 and last year my life instantly got turned upside down. Some of you are aware of my situation but for those who don't this is my story...

After experiencing increasing Neurological symptoms for a few months, in December 2021 I was diagnosed with FND (functional Neurological disorder)

I was eventually seen by a FND specialist at St georges hospital in London in June 2022. My diagnosis was 100% confirmed. This is a long-term disorder, possibly life long. The only treatment is rehabilitation with a neuropyschologist and neurophysio to help "retrain" the brain (this is my best chance) The current NHS waiting list for this is 2.5 years.

Since symptoms started I now experience seizures, mobility issues needing my to use a wheelchair, blackouts, ticks, speech problems, chronic pain, memory issues with some of the symptoms still increasing. As a single mum it's very hard mentally and physically not being able to care for my daughter as a mum should. Having to rely on my parents to help care for me aswell as my daughter daily. The longer the Neurological problems continue the harder it may become to retrain the brain to a point where some symptoms improve and I am able to manage others.

Because of the long wait times with the NHS, as a family, realised we have no option but to look privately. We have found a rehabilitation facility near our home (HOBBS). They have helped other with FND achieve there goals and after my initial assessment have offered a treatment programme starting in September. It involves ongoing 6 weekly programmes with reviews to set the next series of sessions. The cost could be £10,000, maybe more or less, dependent on my recovery.

Due to costs and the situation we are in with my dad now my full time carer, we need some help with funding. It has been suggested by quite a few others to set up a gofundme to see if anyone would help me by donating a little bit of money towards it, even if it just £1.

I will continue to update you throughout my treatment programme.

Thank you so much for your help, I really do appreciate it ❤️
