Help Zyggy get a new trailer

Hello my name is Justin Willis. I was introduced to Zyggy through Craig Garrett, at the North Port Sun. Craig was writing a story about the trailer park Zyggy is living in. I work for a local company called CarePatrol, so Craig thought I could help him. CarePatrol helps families find Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care. After meeting Zyggy and discussing his finances and situation, I quickly realized that was not financially possible. I could not just walk away with out helping him find a long term solution. That is when I decided to take Zyggy on as new family member. Zyggy is an 86 year-old man who has lost his home. The developer that owns the land located at the corner of 41 and river road, that his trailer is sitting on has decided to demolish and build a strip mall. This is not a bad thing for the area, but is bad for those that live there and can’t afford to relocate. Zyggy has some signs of early staged dementia, speaks very little English, and did not understand the entirety of the situation. Now he has about 4 days to find a home. I have found him a furnished trailer that cost $23,000. the lot rent is only $670 a month. He can afford the lot rentand the electric, but not the cost of the trailer. Zyggy is a concert pianist that lost everything and doesn’t understand what happened.  We are looking to raise the money needed to buy the trailer. Once we achieve of goal amount we will use a certified check to pay for the trailer directly. The trailer we have found is located off of Old Englewood Road, just at the corner of Dearborn st in englewood. It is in a little community called Shady Haven, It is a newly remodeled one bedroom, One bath trailer with brand new furniture, and space for his piano. Please help give this senior some quality of life.
