Hello!
My name is Z Dog! I am a one year old English Bulldog and my Dad and I need your help!
In the last month I contracted a skin infection that caused lots of itching and developed an unpleasant smell. Even worse, this skin infection has now spread to my eyes and into my corneas and gets in the way of seeing the people I love and chasing squirrels! Because my entire face and corneas are infected, I have developed an eye ulcer. I may need surgery in the future to prevent blindness or other issues but I am currently taking all of my medications to prevent this from happening.
Although I am a proud Bulldog, I have developed issues with my hips - not too long ago my left hip dislocated and the muscles have begun to atrophy. I am in a tremendous amount of pain and the only thing that will help is surgery to correct it, followed by 12 weeks of physical therapy (chasing squirrels!)
Unfortunately, my Dad and I do not have any money to pay for the surgery and my condition is getting worse each day. The team at Resurgence California has been able to assist with the scheduling of appointments and beginning the healing process alongside the Vet - but without this surgery, I may lose my left leg.
Since my ailments need to be taken care of immediately, the Vet was able to get my surgery scheduled quickly for this Saturday on May 11th. All donations will go towards the following:
Prescription Medication (pre-op and post-op)
Office visit(s)
X-Rays
Eye Exam
EKG
FHO Surgery (Femoral Head Ostectomy)
Hospitalized stay
Post Op Care
Physical Therapy
The donations put towards my surgery and recovery will enable me to have a full and long life as I am still a pup and have such a long way to go! My Dad and I would be beyond grateful for any and all donations - please share with all of your friends and family!
