Help Zak's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On Friday, 20 January 2016 we will be competing in the BUPA Challenge Tour, as AMCA SA - Riding for ZAK fund raising event - with a team of 12 riders.
Zak Robertson is one of O’Connors best young technicians who had a bad kite surfing accident late this year leaving him with a broken neck and as a quadriplegic. He broke his C6 vertebrae into 8 pieces and is lucky to be alive. Whilst Zak is classified as a quadriplegic, the positive news is that Zak’s spinal cord injury has been reclassified from a level A to a level C on the ASIA scale with some positive developments.
Zak won’t be able to work for a quite some time as he requires extensive rehabilitation so we as a team will be taking part on this exciting challenge and fundraising to assist in raising funds to help Zak and his family meet the requirements with his recovery.
Every donation is greatly appreciated and will help this young man to continue his journey of recovery.
Thank you for you kind donations!
