Help Younis help his Refugee camp

Hi, my name is Will. I'm a DJ in Las Vegas that goes by KnowleDJ. Over the past year, I've been totally drawn by photos about life at a Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan. The rawness and authenticity are undeniable. They tell stories of sorrow, hardship, and hope.

And they were all taken by a fascinating young man who has a story to tell of his own. In 2013, at the age of 16 he made a harrowing escape with his family after his family dwelling was bomb into oblivion by the Syrian government.

Instead of dwelling on his hardship, he decided he wanted to tell the world about it. So despite having little to no resources, he found a way to get a camera and tell the stories of the people around him.

And if pictures tell a thousand words, his photos tell incredible stories. From children improvising puddles as pools to adults improvising tools to make a living. The incredible ingenuity and tenacity he captured is best seen for yourself at younis alharaki

He was able to make a good living working with magazines and newspapers outside the camp, and he was shooting videos for weddings and photographing male and female students at university graduation.

But alas, tragedy struck Younis when his camera was stolen this past year. So now all he has is his instagram page and the pics to post from the past year.

Right now he just needs to feed his family. It's bitterly cold and they are given a small stipend to live that can barely feed his daughter.

But if he was to get a camera and laptop he can go back to making professional photos and videos that he can edit himself. He could not only help his family, but keep spreading the stories of the people that the world has forgotten about. He dreams to leave the camp one day and travel the world taking photos.
