Help Xander Knox recover from Almeda Fire

Hello friends. It's been a rough, emotional time following the Almeda Fire in the Rogue Valley. Xander is one of hundreds of people who lost their homes. With a short evacuation notice, he was able to leave his apartment along Bear Creek in his truck with his beloved service dog, Zia, and his ID. All of his treasured mementos, journals, work tools, and belongings were destroyed. The apartment complex burnt down to its cinderblock foundation. In addition to his regular work, Xander had just started his own mobile goat and sheep hoof trimming business and was loving working with animals again. The business is on hold while he works to get back on his feet and re-purchase and build the necessary tools of the trade. The waves of grief from this loss are palpable and sneak up on him. He'll be going through the day, think about a loss--like his favorite John Hartford t-shirt or his scrapbooks of ticket stubs, photos, posters, and wristbands from the Bluegrass music festivals he's attended--and feel the wind knocked out of him. There's no replacing many of these special items, but my hope with this fundraiser is to give him the necessary resources he needs as a safety net to rebuild his life and to show him how much he is loved, that there is light in this darkness.
