Help with Wiley’s vet bills

Donation protected
Meet Wiley.

His story is a sad one.

Wiley was found on the reserve by our partner rescue K9 Advocates in terrible condition. He was brutally mauled and attacked by what they think was a bear. He had been wandering alone and hungry, searching for someone to help him for quite sometime before he finally found help.

He was brought in for medical attention. He suffered multiple lacerations all over his body. He was in excruciating pain. Once he was well enough, he was flown over to BC to continue his medical care.

Due to the severity of his injuries, poor Wiley racked up a hefty vet bill for wound cleaning, stitches and multiple antibiotics and pain medication. If that wasn’t bad enough, we had noticed him limping, so he was sent to the vet for x rays and they had found his leg was broken. As dogs are not used to vehicles on the reserve, it was determined he was most likely hit by a car and left there alone. Due to the extent of the injury, and how old it was, there is no way to reconstruct it, or properly heal it. He will unfortunately need it amputated.

We are now looking for donations to help him get the care he needs!

This boy deserves the absolute best chance at a forever home, and to find his happily ever after.
