Help With The Leukaemia Treatments For Christian

Hello, my name is Juan Velazquez and I am one of the owners of Hacienda Santa Teresa in Bradford, Ontario. My family and I have been close to the migrant workers in Bradford and the surrounding area since we moved in 2004. 

One of our friends from many years contactedus because his 17-year old son recently became very sick and was diagnosed with Leukaemia. This started in May when he suddenly became ill and began bleeding from his nose. He was diagnosed with the cancer later. He has told us that his initial visit cost $100,000 Mexican pesos (around $6,000 CAD) and subsequent visits cost $50,000 pesos (around $3,000 CAD). He had to return to Mexico to be there for his wife and son, while his father continues to work here in Bradford. They have been selling food to locals in order to raise more money, but unfortunately the money is running out. The name of his son is Christian Yael Morales Solis and he is fighting very hard to win this battle. 

As a restaurant we have announced a new drink where 100% of the sales from it will go towards his cancer treatments. We will also continue to come up with different promotions and meals where the money made from it goes towards Christian’s treatment.

This GoFundMe is made with the permission of Christian’s father and grandfather, who were brought to tears after hearing of the community’s willingness to donate. I will provide constant updates on the sales from our drinks, as well as how Christian is doing.  Considering the costs and the length expected for this battle, we have set the goal at $50,000. In the case that not all the money is needed, we will donate it to a different person/cause. Thank You
