Help with my son Virgil Taylor's daughters future

Donation protected

June 21, 2021 , we lost our son Virgil-lee Taylor, and his daughter Auvrey, lost the most caring and protecting father anyone could have ask for. Virgil-lee was only 31 when he lost his life, due to what we believe, was a poor decision made by a police officer, who confronted our son who was unarmed and dealing with a obvious mental health issue. We believe if the situation was handled with a better understanding of his condition and situation,  Auvrey's daddy would still be with us today.

Mental health is a real and serious issue, that if not handled correctly, can become deadly, as was in our son's case. This is a perfect example of the importance of Police education and training and we hope it can shed some light on the severity of the issue and that he didn't die in vain.

Virgil-lee was a loving, caring, family person that would do anything for anyone, especially his beloved daughter Auvrey. Unfortunately this wonderful little girl lost her daddy and nothing will change that, but we are doing what we can to help ease her life somehow, at least financially.

We hope that you will consider contributing in any capacity to help with her future and college fund. Our goal as a family is to raise awareness to help motivate our state and local officials to aid our police departments in the funding they need, for important things such as body cameras and proper training to address mental health situations.
