Help with my Blue Knights Drum Corps 2023 Journey

Hello all, my name is Aidan Fox and I am pleased to announce that I signed a contract to perform with the world class Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps this summer! This has been a dream of mine for many years as I love marching band and I am huge fan of Drum Corps International (see below for more info on what Drum Corps is and who the Blue Knights are). I am reaching out to anyone who would like to contribute and be a part of my journey this summer as a performer in the Blue Knights 2023 show "Unharnessed."

My Music History

I am normally a trombone player but learned the baritone over the last year to audition for DCI and will be playing a marching euphonium with the Blue Knights. I started my music career as a trombone player in 6th grade and have been playing with the Timber Creek High School Marching Band for the last 4 years. Our band made it to the Texas State Marching Competition for the 2021 and 2022 marching seasons!

Moving Forward

My journey continues with being a performing member of the Blue Knights this summer. Drum Corps International is like high school marching band but much more intense and demanding both physically and mentally. We will perform for thousands of folks in every city we travel to and compete with dozens of other corps along the way.

So far I attended the Blue Knights winter audition camp in Denver in February and was given a contract on the spot! Next, I attended spring camp in Denver in March to start learning our summer show and then I'll move to Denver at the beginning of June to start my 10 week summer camp and coast to coast tour of the US performing in 11 states in 17 cities culminating at the World Championship competition in Indianapolis in August!

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity since starting in August I will be attending the Texas A&M University College of Engineering.

Why Support Me?

I am hoping to lighten the financial burden on my parents as they will be helping also to pay for my education at Texas A&M. I am also filling out a ton of scholarship applications for both A&M and Drum Corps and will be paying for part of both with money I have earned working at Jersey Mike's.
