In Loving Memory of our DEAREST Mother,

TERESITA aka LITA aka MAMA aka LOLA

It is with grieving hearts that we share the news of the transition of our dear mother, TERESITA aka LITA aka LOLA (grandmother in Tagalog). On April 8th, 2024, Lita succumbed to her battle with bladder cancer in the comfort of her home surrounded by her children and loved ones.

Our mother, Lita was diagnosed with stage 3 bladder cancer July 2023. Chemotherapy for several months didn’t seem to work, only making her feel more weak, so she elected to stop treatment and live her final moments best she could. This wasn’t her first health battle. Mama Lita had colon/rectal cancer in 2008, then remission in 2009. In her early 20’s, she arrived in America with a brain tumor and immediately underwent brain surgery.

Our mother is the strongest woman we know, she’s a SURVIVOR of many circumstances, a WARRIOR, she’s FIERCE, she’s BEAUTY, she’s GRACE, she’s UNFILTERED, she’s FUN, a FASHIONISTA, she’s an AMAZING cook, she LOVES HARD, her LOVE for us is AMAZING.

Our mother lived a defined, purposeful life. Hailing from the Visaya Islands of the Philippines, our mother grew up extremely poor with only an elementary education. She had to work as a child while surviving best she could at an early age. As a child, she dreamed coming to America & living a better life for herself and her family. When she became of age, she immediately dedicated her life’s mission to making her dream a reality. She became the vessel of prosperity for her children and her family in the Philippines. Because of her strength and bravery, our family has prospered to what it is today.

Sadly, on April 8th, 2024, at the beautiful age of 70 years young, Mama Lita was taken from us in God’s time. Most her children and loved ones had the honor holding her in her final moments before she gave her last few breaths. We are forever grateful to you and we will love you forever Mama…

The day our Mother’s soul transitioned was a memorable day. It happened to be the same day as the solar eclipse & 2024 is “Year of Dragon”. What better timing? God’s timing…

Her passing has left our family and friends bittersweet with grief and joy. She leaves behind her loving children who now face the daunting task of laying our beloved mother to rest.

Our mom, didn’t financially have much, however, she had so much love. The financial burden of her funeral expenses and her moving expenses from her apartment weighs heavily on us, who struggle to meet these unforeseen costs.

In this time of immense sorrow and need, we humbly appeal to your generosity and compassion. Your support and donations will not only ensure that our mom is laid to rest with the dignity and respect she deserves, however, will also provide much-needed assistance to move her possessions out of her apartment, and her grieving family during this difficult time.

We are asking if we may come together as a community to honor our mom’s memory and extend a helping hand to those she held dear. Your contributions, no matter the size, will make a world of difference in alleviating the financial strain on us, her loved ones.
