Help towards Melissa "Mel" funeral & expenses

Unfortunately Melissa "Mel" lost her fight against COVID. She had literally fought for her life for 121 days and defined many odds time and time again. Please keep her family in your prayers as they need all they can get now and in the coming days. Any donations received will go towards funeral & expenses as she will need to be transported from SC back to TN.

Melissa (35) was admitted into a Critical Care Unit on July 21, 2021. She has aquired a total of 4 pneumonia's, and a fungual (mold) infection in her lungs all in addition to covid. After 106 days she was transported to a larger university hospital seeing her condition required a higher level of care. Her left lung collapsed on Oct.19th and she still has a hole that has not sealed itself off. They deemed that she is too critical to be considered for a transplant at this time. Due to covid and the many infections & pneumonia's that she has experienced throughout this course her lungs remain ravished. After 107 days her goal of returning home became diminished and she was faced with a difficult decision, therefore she agreed to be intubated and placed on a ventilator in hopes of reaching her goal. The Doctors hope by doing this the healthy areas of her lungs will become better oxygenated. This could also help in healing the hole which was caused from the collapsed lung. By doing this it could potentially lead to a tracheotomy and many months of rehabilitation, to possibly be able to return home sometime in the future. She needs all the Prayers, thoughts & good vibes she can get. Any and all donations will be used for her care & expenses as she has a very long ahead of her.
