Help With Jonathan Guccione's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
I am helping to raise money for Jonathan Guccione’s medical fund. For those of you who know Jonathan, you know that he is a dedicated father and husband, a United States Marine Corp war hero veteran, and an all around amazing guy. On August 17, 2020 at 1:03pm, Jonathan was riding to work when a red truck sped through the intersection of Cave Springs and 70, slamming into the right side of his motorcycle. He lost consciousness at the scene and was rushed by paramedics to the nearest level 1 trauma facility for his serious injuries. During the accident, he sustained 12 broken ribs, 4 broken vertebra and a collapsed lung. He was rushed into an emergency life saving procedure, where a chest tube was placed to treat his collapsed lung. He was evaluated for brain bleeding and head trauma due to his helmet being knocked off on impact. Jonathan was then treated for a laceration of his kidney, liver and spleen. He was brought into surgery to place a bar in his leg to stabilize the multiple fractures of his right ankle, foot and knee. Because of the fracture and the swelling caused on impact, his blood flow was cut off and he was at risk of losing his leg. Incisions were made in his right calf and drains were placed to correct this immediately. He suffered severe and painful road rash all over his body and on his face as well. After being in the intensive care unit for 3 days, undergoing 3 surgeries, and remaining in the hospital for an additional 9 days, he was released and began his healing process. He was wheelchair bound for 2 months and is now utilizing crutches to regain his strength. He is engaging in physical therapy and will need to continue this for the foreseeable future. Thankfully, all of these things have aided in saving Jonathan’s life during this traumatic accident. After the accident, it was determined that the driver of the red truck was under the influence of both meth and alcohol and also had presented invalid insurance at the scene of the accident. This has left Jonathan and his family with the surprise of having to pay almost $300K in medical debt, with more still to come. Around this same time, Jonathan, his wife and their two children contracted COVID-19, leaving both parents unable to work and make money. This family has been through so much and are really in need of help right now. They are generally the ones giving help, not asking for it, but at this time I am creating this page in hopes of supporting them in paying off some of the insurmountable medical debt that has accrued in this tragic accident.
