Help with John Rettay’s funeral costs and help for our Mum

On April 11th I lost my Brother John Rettay in a tragic motorcycle accident. He was only 47 years old and has left behind his dear son Michael (Mikey).

We are all in deep shock.

John was a generous soul, sometimes to his own detriment. He gave sanctuary to those in need and helped others whenever he could.

This is a chance to give back to John and help our family to honour him with a modest funeral and surround him in a field of love.

Unbelievably, since his passing, John’s home was burgled as well as multiple acts of trespass and intimidation at my Mother’s farm.

Mum is terrified and my youngest Brother has been staying with her to keep watch. They both haven’t had space to sleep or grieve.

The police are involved.

We’ve had to direct our limited resources towards security cameras, security lighting and lock replacements to protect my Mother.

As John’s passing was so unexpected there are not enough funds to cover protecting our Mother and the funeral expenses.

Thankfully since first posting this fundraiser a team of angels have gathered to help at the farm.

I want my Brother John’s life to celebrated with a modest funeral that is safe for my family, for us to have closure, to be able to grieve in peace and for John to be free.

He will be buried next to my dear Brother Clinton Rettay, together at last.
