Help with George's Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer Care

This is my friend George. George was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. After a few routine doctors visits he was called back into the doctor’s office for an update. Thinking it would be a brief visit he was completely unprepared for the diagnosis that followed. A cancer that has spread throughout his entire body that was virtually undetected with no symptoms…a cancer that isn’t curable…only manageable.
The doctors have given him 6 to 12 months but were all rooting for George to beat the odds. We’re supporting George because we know he can get the better of this horrible disease and stay with us longer than the doctors have given him.
George is a father, a veteran, and very well-known contributor in the sci-fi and pop-culture community. George also leads the weekly Real Super Geeks live cast covering topics from Star Trek to Dr. Who.
George’s medical insurance is covered by the VA but as you know that’s only part of what George needs right now.
We’re organizing to help George with his transportation costs which he estimates will be around $300 a month. He has no car and relies on public transportation, taxis, and Uber. This also includes costs for food delivery services, transportation for other errands, and transportation to and from the hospital.
Our goal is $1,300 which should get him through the next 3 to 4 months. We know the holidays are a tight time for everyone but if you can spare a buck or two we would all appreciate it.
