Help with Funeral Expenses for Sierra

The family of Sierra Shaffer are raising funds for funeral expenses and arrangements. On Sunday November 21st 2021, Sierra was travelling down Noland Road on her motorcycle when she was struck by another driver turning into the Hy-Vee on Noland and 40 Hwy in Independence MO. Sierra was rushed to the hospital and after fighting for her life she ultimately succumbed to her injuries; just one day following her 24th birthday. She was also 15 weeks pregnant with her first child. Sierra was a fun-loving young woman with her whole life ahead of her which was tragically cut short. Sierra dedicated her life as a CNA working to care for others at a local rehabilitation home. The residents and staff knew her as family- always eager to share a smile and helping hand to those who needed it most. No one expects to plan a funeral for their child at such a young age, and due to the sudden nature the family is reaching out and asking for help. To those to knew and loved Sierra, the family plans to hold a candlelight vigil at the scene of the accident. We will be posting more details soon.
