Help with Funeral Expenses for Amariey Lej

Donation protected
On January 1, 2022 a tragic event took place in the early morning and 20 year old Amariey Lej (aka Queshawn 'Man Man' Wade) lost her life on the streets of Wilkinsburg. She was a trans youth who was taken from her family and friends far too soon, leaving many unanswered questions and an indescribable heartache. Due to her unexpected death, this fund is being created to assist our family with funeral expenses.

Amariey Lej was a vibrant soul with a presence that filled every space she entered. A dancer her entire life, she shared her passion and gift with her friends, family, and the youth of the Lady Diamonds dance squad. She also worked as a youth artist apprentice with the Legacy Arts Project and had an unforgettable presence that will be deeply missed.

The injustice of this tragedy is unfathomable, reflecting the extreme rates of violence experienced by trans people of color. Amariey Lej is gone far too soon and we are seeking the support of family, friends, and the community at-large to help lay to rest her beautiful soul.

The arrangements for Amariey are as follows:
Viewing: Sunday, January 16, 2022, 2-8pm, House of Law Funeral Home
Funeral: Monday, January 17, 2022, 11am, Heavenly Vision Ministries (arrive by 10:45am as the street will be blocked).

The beneficiary to these funds is Velvet Atkins, aunt of Amariey.
