Help with funeral costs for Horacio Guerra

Our family suffered a tragedy on December 19th, 2020. My father passed away as a result of complications with his kidney disease. He had a transplant in 1999. Kidneys normally last 5-7 years and this man fought for 29 years. The kidney his brother gave him, failed last September, so he started dialysis. Peritoneal dialysis wasn’t working for him so we switched to hemodialysis. A complication no one told us could happen, was fasting hypoglycemia. That means that if he waits too long to eat, his blood sugar could drop severely low due to his kidney failure. He had been feeling sick all week due to something we didn’t know could happen. If you have a loved one with this disease, please check their sugar during every dialysis treatment or even before going to bed if they aren’t feeling well... Even if they aren’t diabetic. My dad was not a diabetic and his blood sugar was at 13. His heart stopped because of it. My dad was the hardest working man We have ever known. He created a legacy from the ground up. He was admired by so many people for his hard work and honesty. He absolutely adored his grand children. He was the best dad anyone could ask for. He was the best husband. He took good care of everyone and he always did it with love in his heart. He didn’t have one bad bone in his body.  He touched so many peoples lives and he made a mark with his loyalty.
